Food Trends for 2014

I realise that I’ve not posted anything on here for a while.  Manfood has been taking up a lot of time.  While exciting, when mixed in with daily work life and other demands, it has meant that this website has suffered somewhat.

However, onwards and upwards.

With Christmas fast approaching and the end of year not far behind, the food industry is already looking at 2014 and beyond.

Trends are a bit of a marmite thing: people either love them or hate them, and truth be told, nobody truly has an idea of what’s coming. But failed sailor that I am, I’m just wetting a virtual finger and sticking it in the wind:

Do let me know what you think. A healthy debate is always good:)

Merry Christmas!

  1. Samphire is definitely misunderstood – I saw it being used as a trivet for canapes at a recent event – I was the only one eating it! It’s also often mispronounced as ‘Sam-fire’, but as all good Fenboys know, it is of course ‘Sam-fur’!

Let’s hope it does become better know – it’s fantastic eaten raw in sandwiches in place of lettuce.
